Kashmiri origin man appoints as Imam of Masjide Nabwi

A Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) origin man, Qari Sheik Mohammad Bin Khaleel, was appointed by the government of Saudi Arabia as Imam of Masjid-e-Nabwi. Saudi King and Khadmain Harmain Salman Bin Abdul Aziz appointed him, reports said.According to reports, the family of Qari lived 21 kilometers from Muzaffarabad at the gateway to the famous Neelam Valley tourist hill station in Pateka region of PaK.
In 1962, the Imam family moved to Saudi Arabia in search of education and work. Qari Sheik Mohammad is the son of the well-known Qari Khaleelur Rahman, a well-known Qur’aan teacher and a student of Sheik Muhammad Ayyoub.The Imam was born in 1975 in Mecca Saudia Arabia and memorised Quran there only. Later he went to Madina University for seeking more education.
Following the decision of Saudi government to appoint Qari as Imam,entire PaK has erupted in happiness.“There can be no honor bigger than becoming Imam of Masjid-e-Nabvi,” aresident of Muzaffrabad told a TV reporter.“This is the ultimate achievement a man can ask for in his life time. It is amoment of real proud”.The residents of Pateka are also happy to know that Qari became the Imam of Masjid Nabwi. Despite living in Saudi, the residents said that Qari never forgot his roots-his native village.
They said he sent funds to built the local Jamia Masjid.The Qari will lead three times prayersat Masjid-e-Nabvi each day.Earlier, the Qari was into the news after he led Trawai Prayers at the Masjid-e-Nabwi.
