The Chennai youngster, who spent four years at maestro A.R. Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory and is now tutored by his father Varshan Satish, stunned the judges at the contest by playing 280 beats per minute. He then increased his speed to 325 beats per minute.

Oscar winner AR Rahman hailed ‘The World’s Best’ winner Lydian Nadhaswaram, describing that he has shown that there is magic and miracle in life. “When I see Lydian, it gives me hope. He should be the answer to Chinese pianist Lang Lang. I think he will be India’s musical ambassador,” Rahman said.
