Gun Pe Done, A Romantic Comedy About Bootlegging Says Abhik Bhanu
Filmmaker Abhik Bhanu is all geared up with his forthcoming Gun Pe Done, says it is a love story about bootlegging, which is first of its kind in Indian Cinema.
Director Abhik Bhanu was interacting with media during a press-junket for Gun Pe Done, which stars an incredible ensemble of Jimmy Shergill, Tara Alisha Berry, Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz and more.
Talking about the film, Abhik said, “Gun Pe Done is a dark comedy and for those two hours, I am going to take the audience into a world, where there is just fun and nothing else. A hardcore commercial entertainer, filled with comedy and unravel with world of Hooch mafia, where bootlegging is the norm”
“This film is actually a love story of bootlegging mafia, which is gripping and will keep audiences hooked. I think first of its kind in Indian Cinema history. Music of the film is elemental and amazingly good. And it is a clean film. You can watch it with whole family and friends”
Further adding, “Gun Pe Done has its own unique romance. It is from the world of bootlegging (Hooch), so it will be first time audience will witness something from the unknown world of bootlegging mafia. The comedy of the film is situational”
Zee Music Company has acquired the music rights of the film and filmmaker Abhik is happy with the association.
“Music is composed by Rimi Dhar and songs are beautifully written by Saaveri Verma. There are four tracks in the film. We have released the entire album with Zee Music Company, and they are promoting the music on a different level, and it is good as well”
The film is being produced by Asif Kazi and Manoj Menon under the banner of Pioneer Films and Entertainment LLP.
Talking about the association with such a big banner, Abhik said, “Pioneer Films under the tutelage of Manoj Menon and Asif Kazi, is making a huge comeback. They are rolling out big projects, most of the scripts are locked and casting has begun, my film, Gun Pe Done is the first one coming out and I couldn’t have asked for something better”
The film also features Bidita Bag, Vrajesh Hirjee, Deepraj Rana and Anant Jog in pivotal roles. The film releases on 12th April 2019.
