“For me, Kangana Ranaut is the human definition of feminism” : Koena Mitra
Kangana Ranaut has never shied away from speaking the truth and calling out double standards in the industry, and has ruffled quite a few feathers in the process. Despite minimal support from film fraternity, Kangana has always stood tall, and carved her niche.
Recently, one the occasion of women’s day, actress Koena Mitra penned a blog on faux feminism and called Kanagana as her role model. She wrote, “I would like to state that not all women are just talk and no action. I admire and look up to Kangana Ranaut and love her audacity to call a spade a spade even if it’s at the cost of a gun being pointed at her head. She for me is the human definition of feminism”.
After the success of Manikarnika, Kangana stated that she is working on the idea of a trilogy on female warriors, of which the Jhansi Ki Rani biopic will be the first. In the meantime, Manikarnika writer Vijayendra Prasad, who also penned the Baahubali series, confirmed that he will be writing the Kangana Ranaut biopic, which Ms Ranaut will direct.
Clearly, Kangana is all set to usher in an era of cinema on inspirational and strong women.
